Il Faro è una installazione luminosa che coinvolge tutti i 4 lati della torre di Arnolfo di Palazzo Vecchio. Al calar del sole la torre di Arnolfo si accenderà come un faro e con la sua luce ed i suoi colori diventerà un punto di riferimento visivo per tutta la città. Luci cangianti che cambieranno a ritmi diversi e illumineranno i lati, mentre frontalmente, visibili da Piazza Signoria, le mura della torre si copriranno di immagini a soggetto altamente simbolico sul tema delle “Frontiere” e sugli obiettivi per un futuro sostenibile delle Nazioni Unite. Nessun altro edificio costruito dall’uomo è “altruistico” quanto un faro, il cui scopo è quello di guidare con la sua luce le navi e le persone in luoghi sicuri, abbattendo le frontiere nell'oscurità. Un faro che sarà visibile da lontano, da ogni punto e irradierà di luce l'orizzonte, restituendoci una nuova visione sulla città.
